Brunswick Brunswick was once home to the famous country singer Patsy Cline. The city is located very close to Washington, DC and the Metro commuter rail runs through Brunswick. The city has grown over the years as a railroad center. Greenbelt Greenbelt was developed largely as a city as part of the New Deal plan after the Great Depression. Eleanor Roosevelt was said to help assist in the laying out plans for the town. Since then, Greenbelt has been a very prosperous city showing many signs of growth. Laurel Laurel, Maryland is mentioned several times in Stephen Kings novel, The Dead Zone. It is said that several members of the Al Quaida terrorist group had stayed in Laurel while planning the attacks of September 11th. Bowie Bowie, Maryland is one of the sights of the infamous Beltway sniper attacks of 2002.
