Boise – Boise, Idaho is the state’s capital, as well as its largest city. Despite what many might imagine, Boise is a mountainous area with several resorts and beautiful views. It was first founded during the gold rush and was once a large agricultural center. Pocatello is located along the Portneuf River and has maintained its original historic district. Rigby – Many claim that Rigby is the home of the first television. A man by the name of Philo Taylor Farnsworth drew up the first blueprints of a TV, and later created his own with vacuum cleaner tubes, where the original model still sits in a museum today in Rigby. St. Charles – St. Charles is a very popular vacation spot, and is dotted by small homes within the woods and mountains. St. Charles is a very well known place for camping, hiking, and fishing in Idaho. The Mormons founded the city in 1864. Sun Valley – Sun Valley is a resort community within Idaho where many well doers choose to reside. It is also a popular ski resort, and the world’s first ski lift chair was used here in 1936. Sun Valley is known for its tennis, skating, trail riding, and condominium living. Lava Hot Springs – Lava Hot Springs has become well known for its natural hot springs, and is a very popular place for a spa vacation.
