Laconia – Famous actor Claude Rains was once a resident of Laconia, and died there in 1967. The city is known as a resort center and is located on several different lakes.
Cheshire – Cheshire was named for the English city of the same name, and was established in 1771. The city has a population of around 73,825 according to the 2000 US Census.
Coos – The city of Coos is the Indian word for “pine trees” and is actually pronounced using two syllables. Coos is home to many different mountain ranges, and is the home of the White Mountain National Forest.
