The distillery was established in 1812. Woodford has a population of around 23,000 and is near the cities of Midway and Versailles, Kentucky. Warren Warren was once an area for Native American tribes and burial grounds. In 1997, the National Arbor Day Foundation named Warren Tree City USA. The city has many schools and universities, as well as a large amount of recreational activities including Beech Bend Park which has a raceway and roller coasters. Franklin Franklin, Kentucky was named after the famous American Benjamin Franklin. It has a population of around 48,000 people according to the 2000 US census.
